CERTIFICATION

The position of a Bylaw Enforcement Officer is a unique one. In order to accomplish their job effectively and successfully, a Bylaw Enforcement Officer requires not only an understanding of the law and statues that govern their work, but also specialist skills that are specific to their particular role.

Skills such as evidence gathering, note taking and case preparation provide the enforcement officer with a wide array of valuable skills and knowledge, therefore, ABOA has developed a Certification Program that recognizes and provides a standard of excellence or " Stamp of Quality" for this unique and valuable skill set.

The executive is working hard at making changes to the certification program and creating a Level 1 (Foundations) and Level 2 (Advanced) Bylaw Enforcement Modules. Our goal is to have an update on what is happening at the 2024 conference.
